Qantas to codeshare on Brindabella flights

Qantas today announced it will codeshare on selected Brindabella Airlines’ services from 1 August 2013.

The codeshare arrangement means that Qantas customers travelling on Brindabella-operated services between Sydney – Newcastle, Brisbane – Tamworth, Brisbane – Coffs Harbour, Sydney – Moree and Sydney – Orange* will enjoy a wide range of exclusive Qantas benefits.

This includes:

  • Full Qantas Frequent Flyer points on all tickets – minimum 1000 point guarantee
  • Frequent flyer status points
  • Access to Qantas lounges
  • Baggage checked through to onward domestic and international services
  • Book tickets through qantas.com

Qantas Domestic Chief Executive Officer, Lyell Strambi said the airline was delighted to offer Qantas benefits to customers travelling on Brindabella Airlines.

“We are delighted to be extending our exclusive benefits to our many customers travelling on selected routes serviced by Brindabella,” said Mr Strambi.

“We have many loyal frequent flyers that use the Qantas domestic and international networks and value the extensive benefits they get with Qantas, from frequent flyer points to lounge access and smooth onward connections.

“Today’s announcement underlines Qantas’ commitment to regional Australia, as we continue to invest in new aircraft, increase capacity and improve our airport and lounge facilities for our customers across the country.”

Qantas customers can now purchase airfares on qantas.com or through their travel agent.

* Sydney – Orange route will be codeshared from 1 September 2013.
